Week 5: Introduction to SEO chapter 4 - MKTG 348

In this weeks chapter of Intro to SEO we learned about keywords. Keywords are words that have high significance. For example, if you were to search 'badminton rackets' millions of results would come up containing the keywords 'badminton' or 'rackets'. The first few results are going to be the highest ranked when it comes to content. With that being said it is good to do a little research before obtaining a good keyword.

To find good keywords we can use a website called Wordtracker. Using Wordtracker will help you find a keyword that multiple people are searching for. One thing to take note of is to try and find a key word that is not too specific, because a lot of people may not be looking for that word. Below is a screen shot of what happened when I typed 'badminton rackets' into Wordtracker.

If you look at the picture above you can see Wordtracker came up with 20 word suggestions that may be helpful to use as keywords. We can also see the amount of times the word has been searched for this month. This website is very useful, it really breaks things down. Before creating your own keyword I highly suggest checking out this website.
