At first my bank only had two ATMs, that was about 3 years ago. Now My bank has four brand new ATMs and guess what? The drive up window is permanently closed. There are tellers for the outside of the bank. Any one who wants to talk to a real person must go inside. Once you go inside you'll notice that there are not many people. There has been a drastic change at this bank over the last five years. Mostly do to AI, and it doesn't stop there. If you're not convinced go check out chapter three of Surfing the Tsunami after reading that chapter I'm sure your opinions will change.
Tellers are not the only people who's jobs are at risk by AI. The list goes on and on. Reading all these articles about AI makes me think, Is AI going to effect our future generations job market?
